Funeral services were held for Rev. J. P. Bilyeu, 79, at the Algood Methodist Church Wednesday afternoon.
The Rev. J. P. Bilyeu is a well known Baptist Minister, having been ordained to the ministry some 55 years ago.
Although he had been in failing health for sometime his death which occurred at his home in Algood, came as a surprise to his friends.
Burial was in the Algood Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Bilyeu, three sons, Perry and Powell of Cookeville; and Payton Bilyeu of Algood; three daughters, Mrs. J. P. Brown, Algood; Mrs. Haskell Farris, Fresno, CA; Mrs. L. K. Morgan, Madison, TN.
