ALGOOD – Funeral services for Charlie Polk Allen, 77, of Cookeville will be held Thursday, December 28, at 1 p.m. in the Algood Chapel of Hooper and Huddleston Funeral Home. Burial will be in Algood Cemetery.
Mr. Allen died Tuesday, December 26, 1995, in Cookeville General Hospital.
He was born June 2, 1918, in Jackson County to the late William Riley and Nannie Jane Mansell Allen.
Mr. Allen was a maintenance worker at the rock quarry.
His family include his wife, Estelle Mabry Allen of Cookeville; two daughters, Mary Anna Allen of Cookeville, and Dian Batey of Hazel Green, AL; four sons, Shirrel, Rellon and Charlie Lewis Allen, all of Cookeville, and Bob Allen of Algood; and 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Hillin and Omer Allen.
The family will receive friends today, December 27, from 39
p.m. at the funeral home.
