"Babe of the Alamo," Angelina Elizabeth Dickinson Griffith's second husband was Oscar Holmes. Very little is known about this man other than he was a riverboat gambler, was born about 1833, and he was the father of Angelina's fourth child Sarah Ann (Sallie) Holmes, born 6 September, 1865 in New Orleans, Louisiana. No one is sure where Oscar Holmes died. Some say he died in Texas in the 1880s and one source says he's buried in an unmarked grave in "Pottersfield" in New Orleans.
