Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Ashburn, 89, of Route 3, Livingston were conducted Saturday, April 14, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Ashburn officiating, Interment was in the Good Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Ashburn passed away Wednesday, April 11, in Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga. She was a housewife and the widow of Arthur Ashburn.

Born January 14, 1901, in Fentress County, she was the daughter of the late James F. and Margaret Franklin Beaty and a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by four sons, Ernest (Earnie), Perry (Pete), Lewis (Louie), and Andrew Ashburn; and five brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include four daughters, Betty Ledbetter, Chattanooga; Rozell Newberry, Anderson, Indiana; Edith Sullivan; Hemet, Calif. and Magdalene Miller, Venice, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and six step- great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were Jimmy Beatty, Lowell Stephens, Ray Warden, Wesley Johnson, Gary Hogue and Kelly Hull.

Speck Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
