Santos Acosta, 90, Deming resident passed away on Sunday December 27, 2009 at Mesilla Valley Hospice in Las Cruces.
Visitation will begin at 3 o'clock (today) Tuesday December 29, 2009 at Baca's Funeral Chapel and an evening service will follow at 6 o'clock led by Pastor Jose Ramirez. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Wednesday December 30, 2009 at 10 o'clock in the morning at St. Ann's Catholic Church and the concluding service and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Fr. Enrique Lopez Escalera, Pastor, will officiate.
Santos was born April 22, 1919 to Refugia Regalado and Manuel Acosta in San Pedro de Las Colonias, Mexico. In 2005 he moved to Deming coming from Palomas and was a member of the Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Juan Carlos Miranda on December 12, 2009.
Pallbearers will be Rafael Delgado, Aurelio Corral, Alfredo Martinez, Gerardo Soto, Pedro and Richard Regalado.
