Michael Lee Carter, 54, passed away Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, in Arlington. Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at Arlington Baptist Temple, 3434 S. Collins St., Arlington, with the Rev. Russell Williams officiating. Interment: 3:30 p.m. Monday in Rusk County Memorial Gardens, Henderson. Visitation: The family will receive friends 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Michael was born Jan. 28, 1957, in Tyler. He graduated from Singapore American School. A resident of Arlington for the past 30 years, he was a member of Arlington Baptist Temple. He married Lavon Elizabeth Reynolds on Oct. 4, 1985, in Fort Worth. Michael was an avid Cowboys football fan and ushered for many years at Texas Stadium. He enjoyed golfing and surfing. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Wade Hampton Carter.
Survivors: Wife, Lavon Carter of Arlington; father, Thomas Allan Biggs and wife, Jody, of Shreveport, La.; mother, Derella Biggs Hewitt of The Woodlands; sisters, Leslie Biggs Carpenter and husband, Van, of The Woodlands and Katherine Bragg of Shreveport, La.; sister-in-law, Danita Billings and husband, Kenneth; brother-in-law, Bob Reynolds and wife, Marie; nieces, Amanda Barber and husband, Daniel, Lauren Carpenter, Sara Carpenter, Kimberly Bragg and Courtney Bragg; and nephew, B.J. Bragg.
