Brooklet - Mrs. Doretha J. Ryals, 74, died Sunday at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah after a long illness. The Laurens County native had lived in Brooklet for 49 years and was a member of Brooklet First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Homer Ryals of Brooklet; two daughters, Mrs. Lillian R. Stephenson of Bluffton, S.C., and Mrs. Dorothy Zetterower of Brooklet; a son, Chris Ryals of Bainbridge; a sister, Mrs. Juanita Bradford of Brooklet; two brothers, C. S. and Kemple Jones, both of Brooklet; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 3 p.m. today at Brooklet First United Methodist Church, burial in Brooklet City Cemetery. Smith-Tillman Mortuary of Statesboro
