Alice M. Tullis, Jan 22, 1914 - May 6, 1999, Alice M. TULLIS, 85, Warsaw, formerly of Akron, died at 11:40 p.m. Thursday at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born to John MURPHY and Catherine HURLOCK in Kokomo, she married Wilfred J. GAGNON on Feb 11, 1933 in Akron. He died Aut 1, 1960. She then married Cyrus C. "Short" TULLIS on Nov 14, 1964 in Fulton County. He died Aug 22, 1992. Mrs. Tullis was a homemaker. She was a member of the Mill Creek Missionary Church, Rochester. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Max (Rozella) VanCLEAVE, Mrs. Robert (Joyce) SHAFER, both of Warsaw; Mrs. Gene (Carolyn) MILLER, Akron; Mrs. Rodney (Pat) WEAVER, Goshen; one son, William and wife Sue Ellen GAGNON, Silver Lake; two step-sons, Cleasta and wife Si TULLIS, Akron; Bud TULLIS, Rochester; five sisters, Mrs. Grover (Mildred) BROWN, Wabash; Mrs. Marvin (Delores) LAWSON, Wabash; Mrs. Ethel BISHOP, Warsaw; Mary PENN, Warsaw; Mrs. Chester (Bondaline) TRAVER, Warsaw; two brothers, James and wife Jerry MURPHY, Logansport; John Jr. and wife Judy MURPHY, North Manchester; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Preceding in death were four brothers, William [MURPHY], Charles [MURPHY], Lawrence [MURPHY] and Lee [MURPHY]; and one sister, Dorothy SOPHER. Services are 10 a.m. Monday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron. The Rev. Len MORRIS and the Rev. Dale WALTERHOUSE will officiate. Burial will be in the Silver Creek Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
