Leroy, a lifelong resident of Canjilon, was survived by his parents Leroy and Odilia Garcia of Canjilon; 2 brothers: Francisco Leroy Jr. and Tomas of Canjilon; 2 sisters: Delilah and Racquel of Canjilon; and his grandfather Abelardo Garcia of Española.

Funeral services were held 11 Mar 1989 at San Juan Nepomuseno Church in Canjilon. Burial followed in the Canjilon Catholic Cemetery.
