Mrs. Lala Barr, 79, the wife of Ottie Barr, both residents of rural Fairfield for many years died at the Meadowood Nursing Home in Grayville, IL.
Mrs. Barr and her husband have both been in frail health & have been in the nursing home less than a year. He is still a patient there.
Mrs. Barr was born in Mt. Vernon June 13, 1896, the daughter of Wilford & Sarah Myers Dale.
She was a housewife. Her husband used to farm but retired from Airtex Products.
She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church north of Fairfield.
Survivors besides her husband; are two sons, Dale & Eldon; four daughters, Vergene Goin, VVergene Goin, Verma Dell Haegele, Marcella Simpson, and Anna Belle Carter; 17 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
Services were held at the Middle Creek Baptist Church near Dahlgren with burial in the Middle Creek Cemetery.
