Betty. I. Gagnon, Feb. 15,1925 - Sept. 11, 1997, Betty I. GAGNON, 72, 301 Center St., Akron, died at 1:45 a.m. Thursday at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne. The daughter of Joseph and Jessie BUTTERBALL HOLLENBACK, she was born Feb. 15, 1925 in Wabash County. She married Robert L. GAGNON on Nov. 27, 1949. He preceded her in death on Oct. 27. 1977. She was a homemaker. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Timothy (Diana) SWIHART, Logansport; a son, Gary GAGNON, Akron, and his wife Michelle; three sisters, Josephine DeVORE, California, Pearl MUNDY, Metea, and Bonnie STRATTON, Akron; four grandchildren and three step grandchildren. Funeral services is to be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with Rev. Frank WHITAKER officiating. Burial is to be in Silver Creek Cemetery, Silver Lake. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
