Obituary in Elroy Tribune, Oct 11, 1900: "Mrs. Bridget Corrigan aged 80 years died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Mike Cleary in the city Thursday October 4. The funeral was held on Saturday following. Rev. Father Garrity and Rev. Father McAtee assisted Rev. Father Campbell in the services. The body was interred in the catholic cemetery in this city.
Brigidet O'Boyle was born in Doona, Ballycroy, County Mayo, Ireland, February 18, 1820, and was married in the old country in the year 1853 to Michael Corrigan and they lived happily together on the old sod 12 years, coming to America in 1865 and to Elroy in 1876, since which time they lived happily among good frends and neighbors until the death of her husband which occurred in August 1892.
She leaves four children to mourn the death of a good mother: James B. Corrigan and Mrs. Michael Cleary of this city, Mrs. John Cleary, of Itasca, and Mrs. Patrick Gallaher, of Pennysylvania."
