Terry Dale Acuff age 56 and a resident of Porterville for 22 years passed away February 13, 2011 in Porterville.
Terry was born March 25, 1954 to Durwood and Eilene Acuff at Exeter, CA and moved to the city of Garden Grove when he was 4 years old.
He received his education in Garden Grove and on November 12, 1976 married Ana M. Fernandez. He and Ana moved from Orange County to Porterville in 1989 and Terry was very proud to have been able to help so many individuals during his career as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
Terry spent a lot of time fishing, listening to country and classic rock music, dancing, being with his grandchildren and working on his beloved 1980 Harley Shovelhead. He loved to make people happy and would always get the family together on holidays and prepare an entire meal including his delicious dessert pies of banana cream, pineapple cream, , chocolate and pumpkin. Terry may be gone from our presence but he will always be in our hearts.
He was preceded in death in 2000 by his son Terry Dale Acuff Jr.
Surviving family includes his wife of 36 years, Ana Acuff. 2 sons: David Matthew Acuff and Christopher Acuff both of Porterville. 3 brothers: Evin Brazzel and wife Loraine of AZ. Tom Acuff and wife Valerie of Santa Rosa. Crock Acuff and wife Nancy of AZ. 2 sisters: Renee Stone of Porterville and Neta Rowland of UT. 8 grandchildren: David D. Acuff III, twins Calvin and Conner Acuff, Fred and Jack Acuff, Nevaeh Acuff and Kenneth Acuff.
