Helen Joyce (Swearengin) Franklin "Ma", of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on February 17, 2011. She was 67. Helen was born to Joseph and Juanita Swearengin on March 19, 1943. Helen and Ray Franklin were married for 51 years. They had five children, eight grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. Helen enjoyed cooking for her family get togethers, playing Bingo and Rook with family and friends. She was kind and loved by everyone who knew her. We will miss you Ma.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Shipman's Funeral Chapel with Reverend Derek Melton officiating. Interment will be in the Bryan Chapel Cemetery at Boatman, Oklahoma with Bo Morehead, Doug Franklin, Eric Newby, Steve Swearengin, Randy Newby and Carl Ballou serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearer is Blaze Key. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home from 4-6 p.m. on Monday afternoon.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Franklin of the home; her sons, Randall Ray Franklin of Estill Springs, TN and Douglas Clay Franklin of Estill Springs, TN, Tim Stout and wife, Michelle of Olive Hurst, CA; her daughters, Toni Ballou and husband, Carl of Pryor, OK and Brenda Maner also of Pryor, OK; three brothers, Bob Swearengin and wife, Vicki of Pryor, OK, Steve Swearengin and wife, Michelle of Harrah, OK and Donald Eugene Swearengin of Salina, OK; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Juanita Swearengin; two brothers, Tom and Joseph Jr. Swearengin; one sister, Margie Rutherford; one great granddaughter, Samantha "Sammie" Stout.
