Osage – Robert E. Emerson, 77, died Thursday noon at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, Osage.
Born near Little Cedar, September 6, 1885, he was the son of Leander and Matilda Emerson. He lived on the same farm all his life until a year ago when he and his wife moved to a home in Little Cedar.
He was married November 7, 1907 to Pearl Bucknam at Little Cedar.
Survivors include his widow; two daughters; Mrs. Alan (Vivian) DuShane ,Osage; and Mrs. Ralph (Zola) Mullenbach, Stacyville; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, a brother and three sisters.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Little Cedar Methodist Church. Champion Funeral Home is in charge.
