Mrs. Sarah Johnston Fitzpatrick, 78, widow of Joseph J. Fitzpatrick and daughter of the late George W. and Mrs. Lydia Ross Johnston, a native of Portsmouth and life long resident of this section, died at the residence, Apartment 2, Frontenac Apartments, 622 Graydon Avenue, last night at 7:06 o'clock.

Surviving her are three daughters, Miss Regina Fitzpatrick, of Norfolk; Sister Mary Regis, O. S. F. of New York, and Miss Margaret Fitzpatrick, of Norfolk; seven sons Farrell A. Fitzpatrick, George V. Fitzpatrick, Clarence T. Fitzpatrick, Andrew F. Fitzpatrick, Edward L. Fitzpatrick, Joseph F. Fitzpatrick, all of Norfolk, and J. Bernard Fitzpatrick, AUS; a sister, Mrs. Rosa V. Brown, of Richmond; two nieces, Mrs. E. L. Mayfield, of Washington D. C., and Mrs. R. C. Taylor, of Richmond; and 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, of which Mrs. Fitzpatrick was a member, Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the residence Monday at 8:30 p. m.
