Ogden – Artise Saunders returned home to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on February 17, 2011. She was born November 3, 1921 in Ogden to George David and Rhea Annie Ogden Shupe. Artise was sealed to Rodney Saunders on September 10, 1943 for "time and all eternity" in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Artise loved people and enjoyed working for many years as an administrative assistant at DDO. She enjoyed playing the piano and loved playing for the Gardens Retirement Home. She was thoughtful and sincere. She enjoyed walks, family vacations, and cherished her genealogy.

She was a member of the Rock Cliff 1st Ward and served faithfully in many callings. She had a beautiful testimony and love for the Gospel and the scriptures. She loved paying her tithe and valued attending the temple.

Artise treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren. She always remembered birthdays and special family dates. She was the center of her family and always put them first. She was a loving wife, wonderful friend, amazing mother and grandmother, and a blessing to all who knew her.

Artise is survived by her daughter, Karaleen (Cliff) Robinson of Springfield, MO.; her sons, Michael (Sue) of Layton, and Larry of Clinton; 15 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband; sister Marilyn and 2 brothers, Garth and George.

Funeral services will be held at 1p.m. on Monday, February 21, 2011 at the Rock Cliff 1st Ward, 1000 Suncrest Drive. Friends may call on Sunday, February 20th from 6 – 8 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. and Monday at the church from 12– 12:45 a.m.

Interment, Aultorest Memorial Park.
