Services are pending in the Campbell-Watkins mortuary for Edward Alfred Earl, 75, who died late Monday in his home in Eastside, after suffering a stroke some time ago.

Born in Kearney, Neb., Mr. Earl had retired from mill work at Coos Head Timber Co. He had lived in this area 15 years and was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion.

Survivors are his widow, Arletta, Eastside; sons, Calvin, North Bend, and Alvin, Myrtle Point; Daughter, Miss Edith Earl, Salem; sisters, Mrs. Ada Caneviso (sic) and Mrs. Edith Weyman (sic), San Francisco, brother, James, address unknown.

Edward and Arletta had five children, twins Alvin and Edith born 24 April 1922, twin boys born in April 1923 and Calvin James born 9 July 1924. The twin boys, Albert (or Hubert) and Herbert were adopted by another family when they were babies. No additional information about them has been located.
