Arthur ENGLE, 77, R.R. 1, Kewanna, died at 10:40 p.m. Monday in the Veteran's hospital in Fort Wayne.

Born Jan. 12, 1895, at Bruce Lake Station, he was the son of James and Evelyn BRUCE ENGLE. His marriage was May 7, 1921, at Logansport, to Mabel McCARTNEY, who survives. He was a retired carpenter, sheep shearer, and a veteran of World War I.

Also surviving are two sons, Bernard ENGLE, R.R. 2, Culver; Raymond ENGLE, R.R. 4, Rochester; three brothers, Chester ENGLE, R.R. 1, Kewanna; James ENGLE, Monterey; Cecil ENGLE, of Kewanna; four sisters, Mrs. Della JENKINS, Benton Harbor, Mich.; Mrs. Stella - - - -, Kewanna; Mrs. Prentiss HURLBURT, R.R. 1, Kewanna; Mrs. Grace CALDWELL, Bunker Hill; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Eight brothers and sisters preceded in death.

Final rites will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Harrison Garden chapel in Kewanna. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill cemetery at Bruce Lake. Friends may call at the funeral home.
