Guyton - James Dewey Jones, Jr., 73, died Friday at Effingham Hospital.

The Evans County native was a member of the North Salem Baptist Church where he was a Sunday school teacher and deacon.

Survivors: six sons and four daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Carol Jones, Mike and Irene Jones, Jerry and Rebecca Jones, Darrell Jones, Dennis Jones, all of Guyton, and Donnie and Janet Jones of Garden City; 14 grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; three sisters, Frances Hatfield of Provoe, UT, Geraldine Winter Mallard of Albany, and Mildred Helmey of Guyton; three brothers, Olan Jones of Waycross, Alton Jones of Bloomingdale, and Albert Jones of Guyton; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6:00-9:00 p. m. Monday at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, Effingham Chapel.

Funeral Services: 11:00 a. m. Tuesday at North Salem Baptist Church .

Burial: Church Cemetery .

Remembrances: North Salem Baptist Church , 955 Hwy. 30, Port Wentworth, GA 31407.
