Brooklet - Mrs. Leola Harrison Coleman passed away suddenly at her residence on Tuesday morning, February 15, 2011. She was a native of Bulloch County, a 1976 graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School, a member of St. Mary's United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Georgia Southern University.
She is survived by her husband, Mr. Jimmy Coleman, Brooklet; two daughters, Twila Cone, Statesboro, and Tiffany Coleman, Brooklet; one son, Harry Cone Jr. (Tiffany) Statesboro; eight sisters, Yvonne Days (Landon), Daytona Beach, Fla., Barbara McCall (Judie), Avera, Ga., Rose Mary Harrison, Statesboro, Joann Pollack, Miami, Fla., Alicia Moore, Statesboro, Karon Scott, Philadelphia, Pa.; LaGonya Scott, Statesboro, and Kellece Hamilton, Brooklet; seven brothers, John Willie Harrison (Martina), Orlando, Fla., Clifford Harrison, Brooklet, June Harrison, Miami, Fla., Roy Harrison (Janice) Atlanta, Tyler Scott (Polly) Reidsville, Ga., Randolph Scott, Lawrence Scott and Ralph Scott Sr., all of Statesboro; five grandchildren, Elijah Bennoman, X-Savion Cone, Jamari Cone and London Cone, all of Statesboro and Ni-keriyan Cone, Columbus, Ohio; one uncle, John Harrison, Philadelphia, Pa.; one aunt, Mabel Harrison, Philadelphia, Pa.; and a host of in-laws, other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Mrs. Coleman will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Scarboro Grove Baptist Church with the pastor; the Rev. Grant Turner, presiding, and Bishop A.C. Pierce, eulogist. Burial will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
