Nancy McKee Parry was the third daughter of Matthew Hanna Parry and Jane Telford McKee and born near Kerrs Creek, Rockbridge County, Virginia.

Family Bible reads:

Nancy McKee, 3rd daughter of M.H. and J.T. Parry, was united in the bonds of matrimony with John Ewing, son of David Laird, Oct. 23, 1860. To this union nine (9) children were born.

A lifelong resident of the Lexington area, Nancy operated a boarding house on S. Main Street for many years. In the 1910 census her sisters Mary and Martha were living with her. Nannie died on 10 February 1915 of a uramic comic.
