Mahala's maiden name was Cone, not Higgins. She was not a widow with children when she married Luke Robinson. Nora (my grandmother), Mamie and Luke were three of the children of her son Joseph Cone Robinson and his wife Mariah "Rina" Redding Davis Robinson. Both are also buried in the Omaha Cemetery. Mahala is Native American and Caucasian although I have not been able to document the exact tribe as yet.
