Merton D. McGuire, 85, formerly of Clarksville, died Monday, Nov. 13, 1995, in Arlington. Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael McGuire officiating.
Burial was in Old Shamrock Cemetery. Mr. McGuire was born Nov.24, 1909, in Clarksville. He was a Baptist and had been employed at Dallas/Fort Worth Medical Center.
Surviving are his wife, Dollie Marie; two sons, Douglas McGuire of Gladewater and Byron McGuire of Garland; five daughters, Mildred Watson of Houston, Dorothy Christain of Paris, Billie Worley, Mary McGuire, and Bettie McGuire, all of Gladewater; a stepdaughter, Elizabeth Ann Simensen of Fort Worth; a sister, Eugenia Arnold of Clarksville; 22 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
