Ellen Petronella Aalbers was born in Zetten Holland, the daughter of Willem Aalbers and Gerritje Derksen. She married John Antonis Bloom December 29, 1849. They had one daughter in 1850 and left for the USA in the same year. They settled on a farm near the forks of Weldon and Little Rivers. They had I believe 10 children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren and so on. They both lived long lives here in the USA.
