Johnson was born Sept. 17, 1903, in Duluth, Minn., to Wilford and Agnes (Villers) Fortain.
She married Edwin Johnson in Battle Creek, Mich., on Feb. 11, 1945. He died Sept. 4, 1980.
She moved to Cottage Grove in 1959. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Survivors include a daughter, Irene Helgeson of Cottage Grove; a brother, John Tardiff of Washington; a sister, Mary of Savannah, Ga.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Burial was at Sears Cemetery in Cottage Grove. Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel in Cottage Grove was in charge of arrangements.
