Mrs. Lucy L. Bitner, 57, of Mifflintown RD2 died Monday morning [22 Mar 1971] at 7:40 o?clock in the Lewistown Hospital.
Mrs. Bitner was born in Beale Township, Juniata County, April 20, 1913, a daughter of George L. and Anne Nealman Walton.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley R. Bitner, a son Ronald D. Bitner of Mifflintown; four brothers: Guy, Joseph, Albert and Harry Walton, all of Mifflintown, four half brothers, James Nealman of McCoysville, Ray Walton of Mifflintown, Samuel Walton of Millerstown, and Howard Walton of Medina, Ohio; a half sister, Mrs. Mary Whisler of Plainfield, Cumberland County and a grandchild.
Mrs. Bitner was a member of the Brethren in Christ Church.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Guss Funeral Home at Mifflintown. Rev. Eugene Heidler will officiate. Interment will be made in the [Westminster] Presbyterian Cemetery at Mifflintown. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening from 7 to 9 o?clock.
