Benjamin "Frank" Singletary, 66, Sarasota died July 13, 1998.
He was born Oct 27, 1931 in Bradenton and came to Sarasota 14 years ago from Atlanta. A graduate of Tampa Business College, he was a salesman in the automobile industry. He was a choir member of Grace Baptist Church in Sarasota, which he attended for 14 years.
Survivors include his wife, Helen W; two daughters, Kathy Whetsel of Lutz and Teresa Wilatt of Largo; three sons, Gary H. Whetsel of Sarasota, Frank of Germany and Chris of Atlanta; a sister, Juanita Vaughn of Plant City, a brother, Alex of Jasper and nine grandchildren.
The service will be a 2 pm Friday at Grace Baptist Church, National Cremation Society, Sarasota chapter, is in charge.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 5899 Whitfield Ave, Suite 200, Sarasota, FL 34243.
