Betty Florenda (McCormick) Eatherton was the daughter of Bushrod McCormick (1806-1877) and Emily (Seevers) McCormick (1802-1888), natives of Virginia who came to Randolph County, Missouri before 1870.

Betty had the following known siblings of which she was the youngest:

Fannie McCormick – abt 1868
Robert Washington McCormick 1830 – 1919
Frances McCormick 1834 –
John Summerfield McCormick 1836 – 1924
Emily H McCormick 1839 –
Mary Thomas McCormick 1844 – 1925

On October 24, 1868, Betty married Benjaman Eatherton (1848-1924) who was the widower of her sister Fanny Eatherton. Fanny only lived about two years after her marriage in 1865, but they did have a son, Bushrod Eatherton, born in 1867, who was named after his grandfather.

Betty and Benjaman were farmers in Macon County, Missouri. They had the following known children:

William Thomas Eatherton 1880 – 1925
Price Eatherton 1881 – 1945
Grover Cleveland Eatherton 1885 – 1945
Bertie Eatherton 1888 –
Myrtle Eatherton 1888 –

Betty and Benjaman both died in 1924, one month apart. Betty's Missouri Death Certificate 23586 shows she is buried at Hebron Cemetery, and Benjaman's Missouri Death Certificate 23828 shows he is also buried at Hebron.
