OBIUTARY APPEARED THURSDAY APRIL 06, 1944: Trenton Evening Times, Trenton, Mercer Co., NJ: SAMUEL COX, FORMER HOPEWELL OFFICIAL, DIES: HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP, APRIL 6 -- Samuel T. Cox, a former Hopewell Township committeman, died in Mercer Hospital yesterday after a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Hopewell Township, he was in his 73d year. He was the son of the late David B. and Sarah E. Titus Cox and a member of Cyrun Lodge, No. 148, F. and A.M., of Pennington. Surviving his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Belle Cox (nee Titus); a daughter, Mrs. R. James Foster, of Trenton; a son, Lester F. Cox, of Morrisville; five grandchildren, Mrs. Ambrose Clunan, Mrs. John Barber, Ruth and Betty Cox and Miss Charlotte Foster, and one great-granddaughter. The funeral will be held from the Blackwell Memorial Home, 21 North Main Street, Pennington, Saturday afternoon at 2:30. The Rev. Elmer Walker, pastor of the Ewing Presbyterian Church, will officiate and interment will be in Ewing Church Cemetery
