Graveside services for Martin Torbit Banks, Sr. 89, who died Saturday, will be at 5 p.m. today at Burke Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, with the Revs Fred Speering and Bob Buchanan officiating. Mr. Banks was a native of Burke County. He was a Baptist and a retired merchant. Survivors include two sons M. Torbit Banks, Jr., Waynesboro and James Henderson Banks, Redford Michigan. and a daughter Mrs L.E. (Ann) Douglas, Augusta, Ga. Pallbearers will be Dan Banks, Martin T. Banks III, Jay Mobley, Joe Mobley, Tommy Banks, Jim Douglas, and Lawson Douglas. The family will receive friends at Deloach Funeral Home, Waynesboro from 2 to 4 p.m. today.
