Edward was the eighth child of Peter and Susan Anderson, their 3rd living son. He married first Mehitable Cole May 8, 1865 in Buxton, Maine. They had at least two children; Susan and Willard. After she died in 1883, Edward married second ____ Babbage. It is unknown when they married, but they were still married when he died, of old age, at the age of 76.
He is buried at the family cemetery, but it is not documented whether he is in either the Smith or the Anderson tomb, or buried seperately. His wife, Mehitable and daughter Susan are also interred here.
