Onnie Adams, Sr., Franklin Farmer Last Rites Held

Onnie Adams, Sr., 72 year old retired farmer of Meadville, was buried in Providence Cemetery following services from the Meadville Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m. January 13. Mr. Adams died in the Franklin Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. He was a lifelong resident of Meadville.

He was married to the former Sally Anders who preceded him in death. He was Baptist. A World War I veteran he was a member of the American Legion and Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by two sons, Onnie, Jr. of Meadville and Victor of Natchez; two daughters, Mrs. W. A. Crecink and Miss Betty Adams, both of Meadville; a half-brother, W. R. Adams of Meadville; two sisters, Mrs. F. S. Oglesby and Mrs. Dell Hill, both of Meadville; two half-sisters, Mrs. John Creel, New Orleans and Mrs. Ruby Jones, Roxie; and four grandchildren.

Rev. B. T. Bishop, Sr. officiated at the funeral rites. Pallbearers were nephews of Mr. Adams.
