Carol Jane Bach 89 years of Temperance, MI, died Monday, February 07, 2011 at Hickory Ridge of Temperance. Born Dec. 24, 1921 in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of Herbert and Minnie (Shank) Bremer. She married Willert Bach on Oct. 5, 1940. He preceded her in death in Feb of 1990. Carol was head cook at Whiteford Schools for 17 years. She had also worked at Woolworths Drugstore and Eddie's Restaurant, both in Toledo. She was a member of Bedford Senior Center, R.S.V.P., Whiteford Seniors, St. Luke's Lutheran Church and St. Luke's Quilters. Carol was a volunteer at the Lion's Den in Temperance. She had previously attended Zion Lutheran Church, St. Petri Lutheran Church, both in Toledo and St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Ottawa Lake, MI.
She is survived by her children, Terry (Linda) and Jeff (Debbie) Bach, Donna (Lynn) LaRue, Sharon (Chet) Tipping and Linda (Larry) Acord. 13 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Dale and Fred Bremer.
Visitation will be held from 2-9 pm Thursday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 am. Pastor Frank Paine, officiating. Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
