Services for Dr. Sterling L. Bailey, who died here Tuesday, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Carpenter Funeral Home, with the Rev. J. Melvin Ray officiating.

Burial will be in Carlsbad Cemetery.

The well-known Carlsbad chiropractor was born in Center, Tex., and educated in the Amarillo public schools and at the Texas Chiropractic College in San Antonio.

He was married to Kathryn Harkey on Jan. 1, 1940, in Kilgore, Tex. Survivors, in addition to Mrs. Bailey, are sons, Danny Boyd, 17, and Sterling L. Jr., 14; his mother, Mrs. George Baker of Amarillo, Tex.; and a half-brother, George Baker, Jr., who resides in Wisconsin.

Following completion of his studies, Dr. Bailey practiced in Houston for a number of years before coming to Carlsbad in 1946.

He was a member of the Baptist Church.
