William J. Abnett, 91 yrs., of Honey Brook, formerly of Havertown, died on Monday, January 31, 2011, at the Meadows Health Care Center at the Tel Hai Retirement Community, following an illness.
He was born on February 6, 1919 in New Jersey. He was the son of the late John & Elsie Abnett. He was the husband of the late Jeanne P. Abnett, who died on Sept. 6, 2002.
William was a retired computer analyst for the Sun Oil Co. He was a US Army veteran of WW II, serving in Japan.
He is survived by his son, William B. Abnett of Seattle, WA, 2 daughters, Carole Stachura of Upper Darby and Patricia Senker of Malvern. There are 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 10 AM at Philadelphia Memorial Park, 124 Phoenixville Pike, Frazer, Pa., with Pastor Tim Herr officiating. There will be no viewing or funeral home service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of William to the charity of one's choice.
