George Adkins, 77, a carpenter who had lived in Carlsbad 19 years, died Saturday in a local hospital. He had been ill five weeks.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Carpenter Funeral Home.
Adkins is survived by a daughter, Mrs. C.C. Lemmons, with whom he made his home; two brothers, R.L. Adkins and Cap Adkins, both of Thalia, Texas, and a sister, Mrs. Ollie Simmons, Seagoville, Texas. He was born in Seagoville.
