Daughter of Robert & Prudence McCulloh.
From The Greencastle Press:
"With the death of Miss Prudence G. McCulloh another link in the chain that connects the present to the past has been broken. She was the daughter of Robert McCulloh, and was born eighty-nine years ago in this town, and until the death of Dr McLellan in 1882, made Green castle her home. Her father was an old Tavernkeeper, an occupation in his day and generation that included the most respectable and money making people, and it was at his hotel on ____ corner that General Washington spent a night. He accumulated considerable properties, among others, three on Centre Square, vis: the National Hotel, H. F. Winger's corner, and the ____ property.
Dr McLellan was married to one of her sisters, and one of her brothers, Hon. Thomas McCulloh, was a prominent lawyer. Miss Prudence died at the residence of Mrs Ellen McLellan, Chambersburg, and yesterday morning her remains were buried at the old Moss Spring graveyard, near where the first Presbyterian church in the valley was erected almost a century and a half ago."
