Son of John Joseph Allison and Sally Blanche Williams

He enlisted in the US Naval Air Corps in 1917 and trained with the Snow Owl Division in Canada and England. After the war he attended Texas A & M and earned Bachelor of Science as well as a Master of Science degrees in Engineering.
