R. C. Myers is fondly remembered by the soldiers with whom he served from the 4th Squad, 2nd Platoon of "C" Company, 1st Battalion (Mechanized), 50th Infantry.

Memorial Wreath Laying Ceremonies are held every two years at the reunions of the 50th Infantry Association.

R C Myers left behind a widow...Mrs. Verna Myers, who provided the 50th Infantry Association photos and the location of RC's burial site.
