Lou Ann Dunbar, 85, passed into the arms of the Heavenly Father Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011, in Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton.

She was born in 1925 in Duluth to Lulu Gross. She was raised in Mahtowa by her mother and step-father, Gub Gross.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter Diana Doreen Rogers; daughter Tamara Dawn Dunbar; granddaughter Melissa Dawn Bergstrom; and grandson Mark Steven Anderson.

Lou Ann is survived by her daughters, Dianne Mayorga, of Waukesha, Wis., Lori (Arvid) Rogers Kull of Dassel, Minn., and Crystal Lundberg of Duluth; sons David Rogers of Juneau, Alaska, Danny (Nancy) Rogers of Esko, Stephen Boone of Humble, Texas, and Michael Boone of Lubbock, Texas; and many blessed grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to her church family at Grace Baptist in Cloquet for their unending love and fellowship and to the wonderful and caring staff at Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton for the precious care that was given our mother over the past four years.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, in Inter-Faith Care Center Chapel with Pastor Doug Green officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Grace Baptist Church. A private family inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Barnum
