- Through different case numbers of the Dawes Packet from his grandchildren, great grandchildren and so on, George Tubb is half Choctaw Indian. He was found on an Indian roll in Ardmore with the Indian name of Pa-tubbee or Po-tubbee.

You are correct to doubt George Tubb's burial in Hopewell Cem Perry Co AL. I have researched this and have found his grandson, Elisha Petty, in 1902 Dawes Testimony gave statements that indicate George Tubb died c 1838 in Alabama near the Mississippi/Alabama state line. George Tubb and his son, Elisha Floyd Tubb, both bought land in Pickens Co. AL in 1837. Elizabeth Floyd Tubb, wife of George, was head of household in 1840 Pickens Co AL census. George Tubb died c 1838 Pickens Co AL. I suspect some of the early Tubb researchers knew George Tubb died in Alabama and assumed it was Perry Co.
