My sister picked up an all black kitten and named her Phoenix. When my sister moved from Colo to Indiana in 1992, Phoenix stayed with my parents in Colorado. When they moved from Colo to Indiana a few months later, Phoenix moved too.

My parents moved to a small town and Pheonix got to roam at least a part of the town. She was an indoor/ outdoor cat. There is a small creek that butts up beside the next door neighbors property and that is where she loved to be. Oh the adventures she might have told us if she could talk.

She caught her fair share of rabbits, birds and chipmunks in her life time. Often eating them on the front porch of the house. Yes, gross but she was a cat. I once saw her catch a bird as it began to take off from the ground. She was fast.

She loved to lay under a rosebush in the front yard. She would lay and look at her world.

Life was not always easy for her. Once she came home with burns on her body. We never knew who threw the hot oil/ greese on her. That's what it looked like to us. But she healed quickly and kept going out on her adventures.

In the summer time, she rarely was inside. She prefered the heat of the day and would be outside from morning until night until she was forced to come in for the night. However, during the winter time, she prefered to be inside.

Thank you so much Bill for sponsering Phenie Kitty's page.
