He married Beatrice on Saturday, 29 June 1946 and worked as a mechanic for the Department of Water and Power and the Sanitation Department of the City of Los Angeles and retired in 1982.
Joseph was very active in the Senior Citizen Activities when he lived in San Dimas and was honored as Senior of the Year and received an award from U.S House of Representative David Dreier in 2005.
