A VICTIM OF PNEUMONIA
Mrs. Dinah Hansford, Well Known Colored Woman Died Yesterday Evening.
Mrs. Dinah Hansford, one of the best known colored women in this city and wife of Warren Hansford, the barber, died yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock after a three weeks' illness with pneumonia. The funeral will take place at the colored Baptist church Sunday morning at 10:30 o'clock.
The deceased was 45 years old and had been a resident of Carthage for 26 years. She was wedded to Warren Hansford 24 years ago by Captain T. B. Tuttle, then justice of the peace. She was a Christian woman and beloved by all who knew her. Many of her best friends were counted among the white families. She leaves only a husband to mourn her death.
