Mary (Sadler) Raines was the wife of Rev. John Raines. They were married on September 17, 1805 at All Saints Sculcoates Church in Hull, England. Nine children were born in Hull, England, three of whom died. In June, 1821 they came to America on the "Rufus King" with six children. Rev. Raines was a Local Preacher in the English Wesleyan Church in England. He died July 13, 1867.
