Reported from the Robesonian.

Mrs. Martha Collins, 36 years old wife of L.T. Collins, dropped dead at her home near Barnesville, last Saturday at 1:30 PM. She was sitting on the porch apparently as well as usual, suddenly falling over from her chair. Several of the members of the family were by her, but aid was of no good to her. The cause of her death is unknown. She had been in poor health for some time. She leaves her husband, 3 brothers, 3 sisters and 7 children, ages from 13 years to an infant girl 6 weeks old, also 6 stepchildren. Funeral Service was held at Mr. Haynes Johnson's Sunday at 3 PM and interment was made at the family cemetery.

Mrs. Collins was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Colin Britt, her parents both dying when she was very small. She was adopted by her aunt Mrs. Sarah Waters. The funeral service was attended by an unusually large crowd.

Deceased was step-mother of A. Collins of Lumberton, who was called home from Washington, D.C. Saturday night on account of her death.
