GUNTER, Texas-MRS. THOMAS FIELDER, 66, of Gunter, Route 1, resident of this area for more than 50 years, died in a Sherman hospital Thursday at 3 a.m. after a 10 year illness. Funeral arrangements are in charge of Waldo Funeral Home, Sherman, and they were incomplete at noon Thursday. R.G. Burnett, pastor of the Gunter Baptist Church, will conduct the rites. Burial will be in Cottage Hill Cemetery, near Celina. The former Miss Ora D. Ford, Mrs, Fielder was born in Cooke County, July 17, 1891, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Ford. On July 1, 1906, she married Thomas E. Fielder. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors are her husband; four sons, Oris M. Fielder of Riverbank, Calif., T. E. Fielder Jr, of Gainesville, W. L. Fielder of Wichita Falls and Billy Fielder of Dallas; a daughter, Mrs. Alta Crosby of Modesto, Calif.; a brother, O. R. Ford of Dallas; three half-brothers, Clarence and Johnnie Ford of California and Charles Ford of Gainesville; three half-sisters, Mrs. Ester Barbee, Mrs. Josie Townsend and Mrs. Opal Gabbard, all of Modesto; 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Gunter Baptist Church.
