∼Marvelle Edgar, 90, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at St. Bernards Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 26, 1924, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to Homer and Lillian Montgomery Merrell.
Mrs. Edgar was a homemaker and a lifelong member of Walnut Street Baptist Church.
Mrs. Edgar was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Waymon Edgar.
Survivors include three sons, Garry Edgar and wife Susan of Boston, Larry E. Edgar and wife Carolyn and Stephen (Steve) Edgar, all of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Whitney, Daniel, Shannon and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Erica, Kayden, Noah, Sadie, Kaeson and Elsie; a brother, Max Merrell of Jonesboro; and a sister, Sarah Stanley of Memphis.
Chapel services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 W. Washington Ave. in Jonesboro, with Dr. Glen Putman officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be private.
