Caroline Anna "Carrie" Bronston was the youngest of the 2 children of William H Bronston & Nancy "Nannie" Bailey.

Before her marriage, Carrie worked as a newspaper typesetter as did her parents, brother Charles, and maternal grandparents William Shreve Bailey & Caroline Withnall Bailey.

Carrie was married 14 Dec 1888 in Leavenworth Co, KS to Arlie Almont Bailey (1867 – 1944), also a newpaperman in KS and Portland. He was the son of the Rev. Lunsford Y Bailey
(1838–1905) & Josephine Van Kirk (1840–1877)

Arlie and Carrie were the parents of 2 children:
1) Almont Adair Bailey (1890–1953), h/o Lucille Chambers
(1893–1985)
2) Caroline Bertina "Carrie" Bailey (1892- ??) w/o Herman Harold Erdmann (1888–1935)

Obituary:

Death of Mrs. A. A. Bailey - Mrs. Carrie Bailey, wife of A. A. Bailey of the Evening Telegram, died at the family home at Mount Tabor Monday evening, of chronic bronchitis, from which she had been a sufferer for the past six years. Mr. Bailey moved his family from Topeka, Kansas, about three years ago with a view to bettering his wife's health, but the change did not have the benefit hoped for. Mrs Bailey was 31 years old. She left two children of tender years.
The funeral takes place this afternoon at 2, the services at the house to be conducted by Rev. J. F. Ghormley of the First Christian Church of which deceased had long been a consistent member. Interment will be at Lone Fir, in charge of Orphia Temple, Rathbono Sisters.
